[ Poe had dropped a couple names of people that Bean didn't know while they were driving out to the desert. Archie. Bodhi. Bean fully intended to look these people up when he got back to civilization and the mess with Finn was solved.

I met him through Finn.
Finn took me to Base One to pick up some extra paint he had lying around, for a project we were working on together.
Poe was there.

ah! finn is a great guy, i'm glad you two know each other as well.
how's the project going?

He is. We have a lot in common.
I hope he'll be okay.

It's in the testing stages, but so far it's going well.

Not unless I know I have a chance of taking the big monster down.
Which, most of the time, I do not.

you'd be surprised how people will do that anyway. i've done that!
anyway, it's relatively easy to avoid stuff when it goes down, as big as the scope of most stuff is it only ultimately affects one porter city at a time. it's easy enough to avoid if you try.
if you need protection, then there's plenty of import groups to reach out to.

you learn to judge how to avoid trouble quickly-- next time something happens i can shoot you the safe zones when it's available? aegis tends to get it pretty quick.
