a fine line between hope and denial, for sure. at any rate, i don't believe telling you otherwise would benefit anyone involved. there's enough misery here.
you'd be surprised how people will do that anyway. i've done that! anyway, it's relatively easy to avoid stuff when it goes down, as big as the scope of most stuff is it only ultimately affects one porter city at a time. it's easy enough to avoid if you try. if you need protection, then there's plenty of import groups to reach out to.
i don't blame you. you learn to judge how to avoid trouble quickly-- next time something happens i can shoot you the safe zones when it's available? aegis tends to get it pretty quick.
yeah, i'm one of the agents mostly joined up to try and figure out what i'm doing with my life here if that's a problem then... fair enough? i won't bring it up again
[ Though having a potential connection to the group might be a good thing for Bean, in the future. He'll have to carefully cultivate this relationship. ]
Were you feeling particularly stagnant, before joining up with Aegis?
extremely that's one thing about being here so long, actually you don't know when you'll go so long term things feel pointless but then you skate along for a couple years and suddenly you're older and have nothing going for you double so if your skillset doesn't entirely translate to this world
[ oh wow. Those words hit Bean deep. Both his fears of getting older here, instead of back home with the family he apparently has waiting for him, and the fact that his skillset is very much suited for a different world than this. ]

you and finn will be able to work on it again. we'll work this out. you two will finish it.

You and Poe both seem so determined this will turn out for the best.

Do you have any sage wisdom to share for a relative newcomer?

I'm glad there are ways to avoid the worst of it.
I can take care of myself, but I don't like having to need to worry.

do the big stuff regardless. just be more mindful of contingencies than you usually would be.

But no. Hope. ]
Can I ask you a strange question?
